Rancho Bernardo is a master planned community of San Diego, approximately 23 miles from downtown,offering a variety of housing options in different price ranges, from apartments and condominiums to upscale homes on acreage. The community is located between Poway and Rancho Penasquitos in the I-15 corridor, and its population numbers approximately 50,000. Other options include hi tech hubs in the Sorrento Valley area as well as employment opportunities at various hospitals, colleges and universities located in Escondido, Mira Mesa, Scripps Ranch and La Jolla. There is no shortage of higher education or medical facilities in the immediate area. North County Fair, on the northern edge of Rancho Bernardo in Escondido, is one of the largest regional shopping malls in the County. There are state-of-the-art libraries in Rancho Bernardo and Poway.
